Hello again!

As the new year approaches, one question keeps coming up in our conversations across our networks: With everything changing so fast, how do we stay relevant?

There is no single answer, but one thing is clear. The most future-ready professionals are not defined by what they know, but by how they think, learn, and adapt.  That’s the kind of growth we want to nurture at the Novaspex Academy.


🌱 Pilot registration now open

We are so excited to share that registration is now open for our first Academy pilot programs, launching at the end of January. 

Each pilot focuses on one key human skill, explored over several weeks through short, applied modules and reflection activities that fit around your day-to-day work. The learning does not end there. After the live sessions, we’ll share continued prompts, check-ins, and support to help you apply, grow and embed these skills over time.

Pilot areas:

Big Picture Thinking – Train your brain to zoom out. Learn how to recognize patterns, navigate systems, and understand how different parts of your organization connect. This skill helps you step back from the noise and focus on what really matters.

→ Course begins on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 and runs over three Wednesdays.

Empathy – Turn empathy into a practical communication skill to motivate others and resolve conflict without eroding trust. Master evidence-based frameworks to navigate high-stakes conversations with confidence and integrity.

→  Course begins on Thursday, February 5, 2026, and runs over three Thursdays.

Decision Making – Navigate complexity with ease and make decisions that truly move things forward. Discover practical methods and tools that bring structure, transparency, and confidence to every choice.

→  Course begins on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 and runs over four Tuesdays. 

Our pilot courses are aimed towards eager and curious learners who want to help us shape the final product through their active participation and feedback.  Each pilot cohort is small-group based and designed to test and refine the learning experience, so spots are limited.

💡 December Reflection: The difference between knowing more and seeing more

When teams are moving fast, it’s easy to focus on what’s urgent and immediate:  the meeting today, the problem this week, the target this quarter.

But progress often depends on stepping back to notice what’s shaping those pressures in the first place. What dynamics are repeating? What incentives or assumptions are driving behavior? What’s quietly missing from the conversation? 

Sometimes the most valuable insight isn’t another data point. It's a clearer view of the system you’re already in.


🧭  Try this: A big-picture challenge

Think of a question or problem that keeps surfacing in your work.

Now take a moment to step back and ask: 

• What are the patterns behind it? 

• Who’s involved, and what might be shaping their behavior? 

• What bigger system could this be a part of? 

This is how systems thinking starts. With a wider lens, you begin to see the context behind the issue, not just the noise around it.  You don’t need a polished answer. Even five  minutes of reflection can shift how you see the situation and where you choose to act.
